Chocolate Chip Cookies I Still Think About – Belize Chocolate Company Caye Caulker, Belize

Caye Caulker is a very small, enchanting island of the coast of Belize in Central America. The entire island is about 5 miles long and about 1 mile wide. That being said, this island is an incredible culinary destination. So many great places to eat. The Caye Caulker Belize Chocolate Company store is one of the many culinary treasures you will find on this island.

I happened upon the Belize Chocolate Company’s Caye Caulker store early one afternoon. It was then that I fell under the spell of the most incredible chocolate chip cookies!

My stay on Caye Caulker was one-week long and I ended up going back to the Belize Chocolate Company store a number of times to get more of these beguiling cookies.

I honestly can’t remember the last time I have had a better chocolate chip cookie. They had just the right amount of chocolate in each cookie, not under cooked, not over cooked, not overly sweet like some chocolate chip cookies are, and the chocolate itself was exquisite.

When I go Back to Caye Caulker

I can’t get wait to go back to Caye Caulker and when I do – you can bet your bippy that one of my early in the trip stops will be to the Belize Chocolate Company store to purchase copious amounts of their delectable Chocolate Chip Cookies.

About the Belize Chocolate Company

The Belize Chocolate Company is located in San Pedro, Belize on southern the part of Ambergris Caye. It is here that all of their chocolate bars, chocolates, and chocolate products are made. They get their cacao beans from family farms in the Toledo and Stann Creek Districts of southern Belize.

Chris and Jo Beaumont are the enterprising couple who began making chocolate in their small kitchen in a wooden house on the beach in 2007. They went on to open the first chocolate boutique in Belize in 2012.

The next time I go to Belize, I want to visit a few of the cacao farms in the Toledo & Stann Creek Districts to do some filming, take lots of photos, and find the delightful culinary stories that I am sure are there.
